LN Source: 5 things we learnt seeing Zibra live

So last night we went to see indie band Zibra supporting Sunset Sons.

With the boys playing a headline show at London’s Sebright Arms in June, here are a few things we learnt from last night’s show to get your prepared…

  • The band sound like a hybrid of Two Door Cinema Club, Hot Chip and Depeche Mode, which is no bad thing.
  • Lead singer Sam Battle is really tall, has really red hair and lives in a squat in Tottenham (it used to be an elderly care home).
  • medioThey know how to cover a banger, performing a glitchy, guitar lead version of Alice Deejay’s 1998 classic ‘Better Off Alone’ that saw the crowd go wild. In fact, there are a few covers on the band’s Soundcloud page, including this one, that are definitely worth checking out…
  • ultimaThe band played a collection of their material, including ‘Wasted Days’, ‘Heartache’ and an absolute corker called ‘R.I.P.’, which we’re desperate to be a single.

This is a new band to see before they explode…

Catch Zibra playing the Sebright Arms on June 17. Tickets are on sale now.
